World Duty Free Careers

A fully reworked and engaging
design for the World Duty Free Careers website.

The brief

World Duty Free were looking to appeal to a younger demographic by creating an updated, visually appealing and dynamic careers website, which showcased their diverse range of positions in 37 locations across the UK.

A bespoke, mobile-first website which was designed to showcase the energetic and varying environment candidates can expect to be met with when working for World Duty Free.

The site features a ‘Life at WDF’ area providing candidates with a real insight into the benefits of working for World Duty Free as well as communicating company culture and values. The brand identity was to remain strong, with distinct and recognisable orange colour becoming a main focal point whilst their parent company’s purple was peppered throughout the site.

Updated people-focused imagery and video was rolled out across the website, alongside dynamic loading styles and captivating animation on the homepage. World Duty Free also asked for an accessibility toolbar and chatbot to be integrated into the website via accessiBe and Tawkto.

The project also involved us reviewing the designs from an accessibility perspective to ensure that the website was usable for all. From navigation to descriptive CTAs and colour contrasts.
