Source, has further enhanced its creative capabilities with the appointment of three new designers.
Established in 1991, Source has built a strong reputation as one of the region’s leading branding and design agencies. It works with businesses locally and nationally, helping them develop distinctive brands, engaging visual identities and effective marketing and digital campaigns. The agency also has considerable expertise in product packaging design, with well-known brands such as Tyrrell’s Crisps among its clients.
The latest appointments of Harry Woodhouse, Lewis Mottram and, most recently, Jules O’Connor, add further creative talent to the existing design team, which includes Holly Blakemore. Together, they bring a wider range of skills and experience to support clients across their branding, marketing and design needs.
Speaking about the new design team, Paula Savage, Director at Source comments: “Professional design has never been more important for businesses to stand out from competitors. There are so many automated/AI tools available for anyone to create low-quality, generic design, that professional design creates more competitive advantage and value than ever before.
“Now with our three new designers on-board, we are perfectly placed to continue to help clients solve branding, packaging and important design problems quickly and with maximum effect.”
Harry joins Source as a Designer, bringing previous agency experience and a particular strength in developing creative solutions to meet client challenges.
He comments: “Finding a simple way to communicate a complicated idea, so people understand it instantly is something I find really rewarding in design. The goal is always great design, but the creative hurdles you have to overcome from each brief are never the same.”
Lewis graduated from Liverpool John Moores University last year and has joined Source as a Junior Designer, where he is continuing to develop his creative skills and experience.
He comments: “What’s amazing about Source is the experienced team who are always willing to help me to ensure clients get great quality work. I really enjoy how every project feels different and there’s always something to learn.“
The agency’s newest appointment is Senior Designer Jules, who brings more than 12 years of industry experience across both agency and in-house creative roles. Before joining Source, she worked as a creative designer at HomeServe UK.
She comments: “Having worked in the creative industry for over 12 years, one thing has remained constant: there’s never a dull moment! With trends, technology and tools constantly evolving, staying curious, sharp and ahead is what keeps my passion for creativity alive.
“Although I’ve only been at Source for a short time, the team’s willingness to collaborate and pull together has already stood out to me. There’s a real sense of shared creativity and purpose, which makes it an exciting place to be!”
Holly has been part of the Source team for the past four years, developing into an established member of the creative department and building strong relationships with the clients she works with.
Holly comments: “I love the variety that comes with working at Source. No two projects are the same and working with different clients means getting to understand what makes each brand tick and finding a visual solution that feels right for them. I particularly love seeing ideas become something tangible, whether that’s picking up a finished piece of packaging, seeing a campaign out on a billboard or spotting something we’ve created online.”
Source’s wider team brings together designers, account managers, digital marketing specialists and brand strategists, working collaboratively across a diverse portfolio of local, regional and national clients. These include Tyrrell’s Crisps, Arden University, Shloer, Severn Hospice, Pipekit and Telford College.
